Setting up and reviewing requirements

Requirements are the specific checks and procedures a verifier performs as part of a verification engagement. Each requirement is created in the verifier account and attached to a standard. When a standard is selected on the acceptance page, its attached controls are selected by default and appear in the review node during the engagement.

Setting up requirements in the verifier account

Requirements are configured at the account level and linked to a specific standard.

To add a requirement:

  1. Go to account settings and open the Requirements page.
  2. Click Add requirement.
  3. Enter the requirement name and details, such as the procedure, criteria, or documentation requirement.
  4. Attach the requirement to the appropriate standard from the list of standards already configured in the account.
  5. Save the entry.

Each standard can have multiple requirements attached to it. Requirements without an attached standard will not appear during engagement review.

Using the Requirements page

The Requirements page allows verifiers to record and track their review findings across key areas such as data accuracy, calculation methodology, and system boundaries. It provides a structured record of the verification work performed.

Completed requirements support the documentation required for issuing a formal opinion.

How requirements appear during an engagement

When a verifier selects a standard on the acceptance page, all requirements attached to that standard are selected by default. The selected controls then appear in the review node within the engagement, providing a structured checklist for the verification process.

Requirements can be reviewed and recorded directly within the engagement.

Viewing requirements within an engagement

The Requirements tab in the engagement detail view shows all requirements associated with the selected standards for that engagement. Verifiers use this view to work through each control, record findings, and document the evidence reviewed.

Completed requirements support the documentation trail required for issuing a formal opinion.
