How CarbonSig works
CarbonSig is a carbon accounting platform for measuring, analyzing, and sharing the carbon footprint of products. It covers the full path from mapping a value chain to issuing a verified carbon claim.
How CarbonSig works?
- Build a model. Map production processes, inputs, and outputs in the Models.
Build the model manually or use Build with AI to generate a first version from a description and documents.
Quick start: build your first model - Add emission data. Assign emission factors from the Reference Data Library, supplier data, or EACs.
Suggest LCI with AI proposes matching emission factors and explains each choice. Suggest LCI with AI - Analyze results. The Sankey diagram and Bar Chart show where emissions come from and which processes contribute most. Analyze your model
- Register the model. Registering creates a locked, read-only copy of the model. This copy is the record used for Carbon Receipts and verification. The Registered flow
- Issue a Carbon Receipt. A Carbon Receipt (CAP) states the carbon intensity of a product. It can be transferred to customers, who receive it as an EAC to use as an input in their own models. Managing your CAP inventory
- Request third-party verification. A verifier reviews the registered model in CarbonSig, raises findings if needed, and issues an opinion. Verified products show the Verified on CarbonSig status. Request third-party verification
Working with suppliers
The Relations page is used to send carbon information requests to suppliers, track their onboarding, and manage supplier contacts in the Address Book. Supplier management in CarbonSig
Working as a team
Workspaces separate data by team, site, or project. Admins manage users and assign one of three roles: Admin, Editor, or Viewer. Every user also has a private Training Workspace for practicing without affecting real data.

For verifiers
Verification organizations have their own account type for managing engagements, reviewing requirements, and issuing opinions. Verifier hub
