We've expanded the functionality of all System page modals (input, output, and process) with two powerful new fields designed to enhance documentation, audit readiness, and AI-powered suggestions.

Notes Field

• Add detailed context and documentation up to 10,000 characters
• Perfect for capturing assumptions, methodologies, or special considerations
• Helps auditors understand the reasoning behind your calculations
• Optional field - use when additional context adds value

File Attachments

• Upload multiple supporting documents directly to any system node
• Supported formats include PDF, Excel, Word, PNG, and more
• Download attached files anytime for review or sharing
• Keep all relevant documentation in one centralized location

How to Use

1. Open any modal in the System page in Design tab (Add New Input, Output, Process or Edit mode of these modals)
2. Find the new Notes section - add any relevant context
3. Use the Attachments area to upload supporting files
4. Files can be downloaded directly from the modal after upload
5. Both fields are optional - use them when they add value to your documentation

Best Practices

• For Notes: Include calculation methodologies, data sources, assumptions made, or any special circumstances
• For Attachments: Upload invoices, technical specifications, certificates, or calculation spreadsheets
• For Audits: Use both fields to create a comprehensive audit trail that tells the complete story of your carbon calculations

These enhancements are available immediately across all input, output, and process modals in your System pages, making your carbon accounting more transparent, auditable, and intelligent.

New Rules and Behaviors

Export/Import Updates

• Non-proprietary data (Proprietary = false) exports with full details except Ecoinvent data
• Proprietary data in local excluded from exports for security
• Marketplace references maintain links to source

Sharing Improvements

• Public library data fully visible when shared
• Proprietary data intensity values hidden in transfers
• Enhanced traceability for all shared data

💡 How to Use the New Features

Accessing the Data Marketplace

1. Navigate to Library in the left sidebar
2. Click on the Data Marketplace tab
3. Browse or search available libraries
4. Click "Use" to add data to your local library

Managing Reference Data

1. Go to My Reference Data for your custom entries
2. Use Data Marketplace for global libraries
3. Filter and search using the new interface
4. One-click to add marketplace data to your library

Using Enhanced AI Suggestions

1. Open any system in Entry mode
2. Click on an input node
3. Select "Suggest LCI with AI"
4. Review confidence scores and select the best match
