Sharing CAPs
Facilitates cross-departmental carbon data sharing for integrated sustainability strategies.
The Share feature allows users to grant permission to view a specific CAP. It enables diverse sharing methods for a single attestation unit, creating multiple versions for different audiences. Accessible through the Product Explorer page, the Share option provides various sharing choices, including Private (limited to the workspace level), Public, and Restricted protected with one/time password. Users can also utilize the Obfuscation option.
How it works
The Share option is displayed on the Product Explorer page, accompanied by an icon reflecting its current state.
If the attestation unit is set to public, it will be visible on the Public page certs https://certs.carbonsig.app/
Users have the flexibility to change their visibility at any time through the Product Explorer page.
Additionally, an Obfuscation option is available.
Upon selecting the "Share" option, a new page will appear, presenting the following sharing options:
Private - Limited to the workspace level
Public - Display on the Public page
Restricted: share your CAPs across multiple workspaces and with external users via email
Private
Limited to the workspace level - that means that all users from only that workspace and account admins can see the CAP.
Restricted
This feature streamlines collaboration and enhances flexibility when working with stakeholders both inside and outside your organization. The sharing dialog will appear with two options:
- Email: Share with external users via email
Select the "Email" dialog. Enter the email addresses of the recipients. Recipients will receive an email with a link to access the CAP. For security purposes, they will need to enter a one-time password (OTP) that will be sent to their email address.
- Workspaces: Share with other workspaces in CarbonSig
Select the "Workspaces" dialog and paste workspace ID. The selected workspaces will now appear in the sharing panel, showing you exactly who has access.
Public
When the user selects “public” the CAP will be available in certs. Obfuscation is available in this options as well.
Status Restrictions:
The valid statuses for a CAP are "Private," "Public," "Public with URL," or "Restricted" (multiple).
